City hotel and day care for your dog
Fila & Floyd offers a custom built city hotel and day care for small / medium and some well socialised larger breed dogs.
The hotel is completely cage free; our doggy guests can freely move between our indoor and outdoor spaces.
Indoor we have 3 big living rooms with custom built dog beds, fans and many windows to look out onto the gardens.
Outside we have a wrap around garden with jungle gyms to climb on, shell pools to swim in and ball runs for some active play.
We have an experienced team who will care for your fur child 24/7. We follow a structured daily routine with dedicated play times, but also nap times to ensure for sufficient rest and relaxation.
Due to our unique, cage free environment and space constraints we can unfortunately not accommodate the following breeds: Pit bulls, Bull terriers, Malinois, Dobermann, Ridgebacks, Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Huskies, Boxers, Bullmastiff, Russian Terriers, American Bulldog or any cross breed of the above. Our environment is also not suitable for dogs with extreme exercise requirements.
Large breed dogs and terriers not mentioned above are welcome if they come from a multi-pet household and/or are well socialised with humans and other dogs outside their household.
You can view our fee structure by clicking on the button below. Fees must be settle 7 days before check-in. Bookings for Easter weekend and bookings between 15 December and 5 January should be paid in full 6 weeks in advance. Please note that our fee does not include food. Due to the big variety of dog food brands on the market, we prefer that your doggy stay on its own diet to prevent an upset tummy due to change in food. We do however provide healthy treats, warm and cozy beds, toys, fresh water and lots of love and cuddles.
NEW CLIENTS:
All our new doggy guests must attend free trial play / assessment day. The purpose of this day is to ensure that your dog is comfortable in our environment and doesn't show any major signs of anxiety and or aggression.
New clients will also complete our registration form to ensure that we have all the important information we need to look after your pup. All future bookings are quick and easy!
CHECK-IN & OUT TIMES AND VIEWING OF OUR FACILITY
Our stay over check-in and out times are Monday - Sunday 08h00 - 18h00. We do however prefer to have your dog check-in at least by 16h00 to give him/her some time to settle before nighttime.
Our daycare hours are from Monday - Sunday 06h30 - 18h00. Our daycare closes for holiday from the 15th of December until the 5th of January.
Please notify us in advance with the time you would like to drop-off or pick-up your dog(s). This will help us to be prepared and to ensure that you and your dog(s) receive personal attention with drop-off and pick-up times.
Please make a special arrangement if you need to pick-up or drop-off outside of these times.
Viewing of our facility can be arranged and is done strictly by appointment only.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
Our hotel is cleaned and disinfected daily and deep cleaned once times per week, hygiene and cleanliness are of utmost importance to ensure a disease free environment. We use pine gel for general cleaning, VET recommended F10 disinfectant, Pro-Bac Stain & Odour remover for spot cleaning and Probac Bin cleaner for all our poop bins.
Each dog guests will also receive a daily formal health check to ensure that we pick-up early warning signs and act on it immediately.
Important, we strictly only give medication with consent from the dog owner. Any concerns regarding your dogs health will be communicated with you before next steps are taken. We will however act immediately in case of life and death. We make use of Monument Park Vet or Waterkloof Vet which is around the corner from us.
VACCINATIONS & STERILISATION REQUIRED:
Due to our unique cage free environment, we do require all dogs to be sterilised after 8 months of age. If your female dog goes into heat before 8 months, we will only be able to accommodate her after sterilisation.
Fila and Floyd requires dogs to be free of any contagious disease or condition and the following vaccinations and treatments must be done before check-in;

5-in-1 Booster vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 12 months

Rabies vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 24 months

Bordetella Bronchiseptica (Kennel cough) vaccination at least 3 days before check-in, valid for 12 months.

All dogs must be regularly treated against fleas, ticks and worms
Please note that we can only take puppies after they had their second set of 5-in-1 booster vaccine and at least one rabies vaccine.
